Hi all, I am looking for anything that may have appeared about an uncle that drowned in the Acushnet River near New Bedford Gas Company August 15, 1942. Small article in the Boston Globe but wondering if anything in other newspapers in that area. Rumour was that he may have been thrown overboard a ship after winning at a poker game.

Name was: William J. Hannon and he was 34 years old. A fishing engineer.
