Is it possible to go from normal access to editing and stay on the same page you were on? I find it frustrating to be on a particular ancestor, and when I want to edit his/her information, I have to go through the dashboard, and then access the tree, and then find who I want.

Hi Darren, open up Tribal Pages twice, on two separate screens. Using Ctrl and Tab , you can move from one screen to the other, and go to any screen or stay with the same screen. You can Edit as you wish, but only EDIT on one of the Tribal Pages.

This enables you to see what you are doing

All the best

Hi Darren, the easiest way to open two screens, is to have ONE OPEN, and then go to FILE at VERY TOP LEFT.

Under EDIT you will see

DUPLICATE TAB . Select this and you will now see that you have two Identical SCREENS open.

You can now use the two KEYS ---- Ctrl and Tab to jump from either screen.

All the best

Darren, There is no need to use DASHBOARD

if you have selected a Person, and you see their box in the muddle of screen, and Parents boxes above.

On the right of the Person you will see a small BOX with a V in it --Click on this and you will SEE EDIT. Select what you wish to do, and you can either alter and then CLICK SAVE which brings you back to the PERSONS BOX. If you have not EDITED it you can just use the BACK ARROW Extreme TOP LEFT.

Hope that this helps.

Hello Les, Thank you for taking the time to answer my feature request. I don't think I explained it very well.

What I mean is, when I have my tribalpages page open on normal viewing, and I decide I need to edit that page, I have to click on edit, sign in, click on "my family tree", and then search for the person I wish to edit. What I am asking for is when I sign in to edit, it automatically takes me back to the page I was on in normal mode.

Hope that is clearer.

Regards, Darren

Hi darren, I thought that waswhat you meant.

Try openibg up Tribal Pages twice, like I have said, and you will see that this will do as you want.

Just try it, and please let me know how you get on .

When I open my site I log straight into edit mode. I never have to use tabs when working within the same 'family' of 3 generations.

Thanks for that, Ted. I might have to do that myself, as it is very annoying to have to go through the log into edit process, and THEN find the page you were just on.

Hi Les,

Sorry for the delay in reply. I tried what you suggested, and yes, it was easier, but I was requesting a feature via this forum to make everyone's lives easier.
