I recently had a case of an ancestor where clicking on the little globe gave me a whole page of possible connections. Unfortunately my ancestor never left southern England and all the hints were for the USA. I had to delete them one by one which took ages.
Another option would be simply to refine the criteria for 'matches', adding geographical location.
i have had the same happen to me, although now I just click the "back" arrow. I really do like this site and would like to see options here such as are on ancestry. I belong to ancestry as well, but quit entering my info that I find there and only enter it here....ancestry retains the rights to anything that yiu enter at their site.
