I need to print a report of all the notes I have attached to the people in my tree, how or can this be added? I am being ask to remove some, but don't want to lose them. And also I want to know if I have forgot any that needed to be posted.

Hi Lisa, unless someone can correct me, I would open Word and then also open your Tribal Pages . Go to each of the Notes one by one, and Copy thr first one ,and then go straight to WORD and Paste. Do this to each one, back and forth, so that you will have them all in one File in Word.

Laborious, but it is the only way that I can see to do it.

If you have a paid site, you can download your backup gedcom which should include the notes. Opening this in a software program should show you the notes for each person.

Otherwise, you are stuck cutting and pasting

Hi Lisa, I had five minutes spare and decided to try the following.

I opened my GEDCOM in WORD, and obviously there is a full list . In EDIT there is FIND also REPLACE I entered NOTES into FIND and then selected REPLACE -- FONT -- TEXT -- EFFECTS and selected BLINKING BACKGROUND.

This highlighted the NOTES (NOTES) not all the TEXT which enabled me to go to each one. I then opened another page in word, and as I copied each note I wenrt to the other page and pasted them to it.

They needed a bit of tidying up, but they were all there ready for printing.

This may be easier than Copy and Paste from Tribal Pages to WORD.

If you have some spare time it is worth trying, as nothing is lost.

Hi Lisa, as no doubt you know.

When you select FIND . You will see the TOTAL of what you are seeking and PREVIOUS and NEXT. ( Allows you to go back and forth)

and then YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF YOUR SELECTION

All the best

Alternatively you can always mark the notes "keep notes private" which will hide a person's note section.

My response to those who disagree with my notes was quite simple.

I only use the Notes boxes to insert links to the individuals' Story page (thanks to Les' help). On that page I put all the information that I come upon that I am confident is truthful. I cannot see any reason why unbiased information should be censored from a truthful historical account - whether it be international, political or a family's history.

My answer to the objectors is, 'I pay for the TP site. I pay the cost of a research programme. That makes it my tree. Like it! - or do the other thing.'

The objectors may always start another tree of their own.

Thank You Every one, I know this may seem late but I had to figure some of the things out first.

I am noticing some odd things when using notes after event category's, like some notes show up in the list after I switch back and sometimes they don't. And I notice there are duplicate category's also, why is that? and why is there a straight line between the category list?

thank You
