How do you show a child as adopted.? The children's names were changed when they were adopted. I want to show the children's real name as they are requesting this to be researched.

Hi Steven, if you select the Name of one of the children, and go to Edit on this name.

You will see a box marked adpted, also there is a box marked Events with Adopted. You can mention about the Names in Notes.

Have a look and enter to see if this is suitable. You can always delete or modify as you wish.

You could also add the children in as NEW persons in their correct names,and put into the notes of these that they are adopted, and you can then use these as the commencement of their research.

Hi Steven if you should do as I have suggested, you can then put a LINK into the NOTES , connecting the adopted Name and the Birth Name and Visa Versa.

This will then be quicker and easier for yourself or anyone else to see the connection
