I would love to know how I can create a family tree on Tribal pages for others I am helping so as to get them started in Genealogy without such a steep learning curve. My hope is to upload a gedcom, set up all the details for the new owner and add me as Administrator so I can mentor them until they are ready to take over and run the tree themselves.

Cant get customer support, at least let us help others love your site hey!

Use their email address to set up the tree and give them an access code but no admin access until they know what they are doing. That way they can see how their tree grows.

If you use your email address to set up the tree it can be difficult to hand over. All of your trees are linked by your email address on TP.

Many thanks for the responses to my recent post, alas it seems that Tribal somehow knows from which PC you are setting up the New Free Tree and will not allow me to use the email of my friends as Tribal is aware of my two computer emails?

I have been fortunate to help local friends so far so have eventually visited the friends PC and set up the site, but have had several requests from friend and step family etc in Oz, New Zealand and the UK and that makes it quite a challenge:-)

Hope Tribal respond to this and suggest a way!

I must admit that last year I compiled a tree for a friend and just used their email and created a password. That kept it separate from my TP trees - they must have tightened up somehow though I cannot see the reasoning behind it.
