The advanced search should be much more powerful (others have said this before). For example at present there is no facility to search on marriage data.

Agreed. I frequently want to locate a female death in my tree from burial data. I need to know the ladies maiden name to find her. With a tree of over 9000 names there is no other way to do this.

If the record said that Jane Simpson died 1876 aged 54 years I need to be able to search for a lady called Jane, born in 1822 who married someone with the Simpson surname.
