Just observed that the tool "Maps" will not work unless town, state and country are stated in a certain format and the names do not contain characters invalid in English. Thus if I need to replace all the strings "São " with "Sao " or "Italia" with "Italy", for instance, it seems the only way to do it is record by record. I could do it in a Gedcom file but would probably miss links to photos and other kind of information once the edited file was uploaded.
