I would like to see photos arranged by date in albums and when assigned to an individual. I would also like to be able to designate a primary photo for each individual.

Hi Dale, when in EDIT mode of Albums , at the bottom right, you will see a Menu giving you threee choices.

Sort br Name

Sort by Photo Date

Sort by Upload Date.

When you select a Photograph you have the choice to Attach to a Person..

You can add a Date in the CAPTION of the photograph although this is not affected by the Three choices.

The problem is that photos within an album are sorted by first name and then date. When a picture has multiple names, the sort puts pictures out of place for the secondary individuals.

Ideally, when I got to a story and its set of photos, I could do a date sort or be able to move them about.

Could you try to enter a number for each picture in each album.....01...09, 10, 11, 12, etc., in the order you want them to appear, before the name of the Individual.

That would temporarily fix it. Would be good to have tribalpages go back the programming part of the software and enable the date order for photos.

If you use CAPTIONS and enter the DATE such as

16/02/2014 and in the Year photograph was taken 2014

Now do the same with the other photographs you need to do.

You will find that when you go to Family Members View and select SORT BY DATE you will have what you require.

For FRANCIS the select SORT by DATE only works in FAMILY VIEW

Hi Dale, hope that this is what you wanted. You can also put the NAME of person with the Date if you wish.

Francis the small Menu does work in EDIT but what I meant to say it gives the THREE options in Family Viewing. This then gives the choice for VISITORS.
