January 1, 2020,

Dear descendants & special contacts worldwide,

This year marks 14 years ago that we started this website with a database with the family ancestors/descendants with the mission that each & everyone can have access & gather information on his/her branch & also learn about the family history of Van Romondt West Indian Branch.

In 2020 we will focus on finalizing the editing of many pending information we have received throughout the years from many families around the world.

Many branches are found but some are still missing. We hope that in 2020 we can have a complete overview of all the living families.

For more information please contact me.

Welcome to the family tree website of the "History of the ancestors and descendants of the van Romondt family, West Indian
 Branch Sint Maarten."

Since 2006 a database was created to add all information we have gathered and found from many families, descendants, genealogists, organizations, special friends and contacts around the world of our family history.

Many family branches were found throughout the years and in 2008 the 1st family reunion was held on the island of Sint Maarten, Aruba, Curacao and the USA. After the reunion more families connected with us and since then we are still seeking living descendants from many branches.

Please google the database to find connections and information & take your time to view this family tree website. We thank you for believing, sharing your information and supporting the VR-Research Project.

The VR-Research Project ended in 2012 and we currently editing all information we received throughout the years and to have a summery as complete as possible to provide to everyone. The goal for this is 2020.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
