This family tree has grown so far beyond the original Hyslop Family that I have  decided it is no longer practical to call it that any more. My son Ruaidhri suggested  the Bramble Patch and this seems to me to be a very apt name for the tangle which is  our family.
  
 The name "Barrhill" was chosen simply to reflect the village I most closely  associate with my family.  There are many branches of the Hyslop family associated  with Barrhill and the parish of Colmonell however, it should be noted that there is  no evidence of a link to my family (yet!)
