About The Minter line
If you visit this site please leave a short note in the visitor book to let me know how you are connected to my tree. With the help of each other we can extend our trees and put relatives in touch with each other.

Name origin: MINTER Old English
Spelling varients include Mintern, Minterne, Minturn, Mintorn and Mintren.

The Minter name was first found in Dorset in the 11th century where they were seated as Lords of the Manor.
My earliest Minter ancestors I have found so far were from Kent, mainly around Ash, Canterbury and Folkestone. I would like to thank John Minter for all his help and extensive research. His roots are from Essex and we are yet to find any connection, none the less his research has been amazingly helpful.

Along with the Minter line I am interested in finding connections to all names in my tree. Also I would like to find more information on the family tree of John Vliet Lindsay born New York 1921. John was the great grandson of my 4 x great grandparents. John's Grandfather emigrated to New York in the 1870's and this is where connections become sketchy. John Vliet Lindsay was Mayor of New York from 1966 to 1973.

Whilst I have taken every care to ensure all the information held within this tree is correct, I am aware that we are all capable of error. I am open to discussion if you feel my research has flaws, and value any feedback in the hope of growing strong branches.

The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
