About Your Family Tree
Hello! Welcome to your Family Tree! I certainly hope you enjoy this site. I am embarking on a new phase with the site and need your help. I am trying to introduce more of our family to the site and collect some stories.

There are a few stories now and I’m hopeful to add many more, so please contribute yours. Stories don’t have to be long, a paragraph or two, a line or two, something about you, immediate family members, or some family lore about someone who’s gone before us. If you enjoy writing don’t be afraid to write lots either; I think the limit is 2500 words. Not quite a book, but enough for a good short story or a 2 part story; you get the idea. Some topic suggestions; tales from school, first job, emigration/immigration stories, military experiences, bio’s, vacation Disasters/wonders, favorite places, you can see the sky’s the limit. Don’t be afraid to include some pictures as well; they really bring a story to life.

I’d also like to get more family to the site, so please send me the email address of anyone you’d like to share this site with and I’ll send them an invitation.

Thanks to Uncle Wes Armeneau for sending the French Connection info about Julien Armeneau. It was very interesting and held much promise to find many Family Members from France. I have since been in contact with our "French Cousins" Madame Francoise Fournier and Marie-Paule Gesland. They have been a wealth of information and I look forward to getting know them and their families. You can now see both in our Family Tree.

As we will now be visited by our French relatives, I am going to translate information to France French wherever I can. Since I don’t speak French I’ll be using a translation program and will be unable to proof read it. If you spot translation errors, please correct them or email corrections to me. Thanks.

Bonjour !

A bientôt.
 Merci.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
