Greetings one and all! You have entered the homepage of the Brookman (Dad's side) and Rogers (Mum's side) Family Tree. And while it may not be immediately apparent, we are an Australian (ahem... sorry: Ostrayan) family! The Brookman side of our clan originated from the green hills of Somerset and Dorset,in the U.K, whilst the Rogers side hailed largely from Ireland and Scotland. Whilst my Mother and I have been hacking away at this geneological "thing" for around 5 years now, we simply MUST acknowledge the many good people who have assisted us along the way; It could not have been done without the kindness of you folk out there! Some of you are (in alphabetical order, mind you): Kevin Bean, Shirley and Bill Blake, Janet Booth, Audrey Boyle, Joan and Len Broadstock, Dave Brookman, Paul Brookman, Mia Coates, Margaret Collins, Roy and Margaret Comrie, Margaret & Jeffrey Cooper, Ernest Dickman, Ian and Karen Dickman, Ken Dickman, Sara Eade, Hazel Holcombe, Dianne Hughes, Alan Hyatt, Len Hyatt, Bryan King, Geoffrey Knott, Ian Knott, Lorna Leask, Pauline Long, David and Leeann Marriott, Charlotte Marshall-Potts, Isobel Rogers, Jaqueline Rogers, Robert Rogers, Walter Savige, Bob and Margaret Scott, Cecil Sing, Catherine Thompson, Nola Vella & Jean Weber. Thank you, and keep up the great work! Oh, and for all you newbies: Never discount a source because that "source" is merely a "twig" on the branches of your family tree! Or, it may only be an "insect" on the twigs of the branches of your family tree!!! I kid you not: Most of the "good stuff" we have come across (i.e. been blessed with!) has come from the descendants of mutual ancestors of *alternate* family lines :) We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay here, and if you would like to contact us - whether it be for genealogical reasons, or otherwise - then simply write to us through either the "Guestbook" option above, or the email form, but please include some detail as to our family connection. Please note: Our main family branches are as follows (in alphabetical order): Adams, Ball, Biddle, Brookman, Comrie, Cox, Dalton, Dennis, Dickman, Dingwall, Dixon, Eade, Forster, Huffer, Hyatt, Knight, Knott, Marriott, Marshall, Mitchell, Ribbons, Rogers, Sing (King), Tait, Vowles & Wilkins ... ...and a few more here or there!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
