Due to concerns over Covid-19 the Mauk Reunion scheduled for August 22 & 23, 2020 has been cancelled.
About Jacob & Susannah Walters Mauk Family
Mauk DNA Project

Many of the 'missing' kits on GEDmatch are back. There are still six kits that we no longer have data from. These are all on GEDmatch's "EU/unknown" server. All this means GEDmatch needs permission to include these kits in its 'regular' database. This is done by logging into GEDmatch, accepting the new terms of service if that has not already been done, clicking on the "Change EU/Unknown kit status" button and following the instructions from there.

Unless this is done for these six kits we cannot include their data in the Mauk DNA Project.

Thanks,
 Don Sigwalt

The Mauk tribal page automatically emails a custom newsletter every two weeks. If you're not receiving the newsletter and would like to, please email us at mauk.reunion@gmail.com.

There are also different levels of access to the Mauk tribal page as shown below. If you are a descendant of Jacob & Susannah (or the spouse of a descendant) you should be a Member. Please email us at the address above if you think your access is currently at the incorrect level.

Guests can view Private Data on the Mauk tribal page. However they cannot make any changes to the site. Like Guests, Members can view Private Data on the site. They can add or update only their direct relatives (parents, children, siblings and spouse).

This Mauk tribal page was created by JoAnne Shively and the results of her many years of research are documented here on this website. JoAnne was also the administrator of the Mauk website on MyFamily.com until it was closed down by Ancestry.com. (The contents of that website were moved to Spokt and can still be seen there by family members.)

JoAnne first attended the Mauk reunions as a child. I believe her grandmother brought her to the reunions. JoAnne was president of the Mauk Association and the reunion for 16 years and she kept the reunions going. It is because of JoAnne's hard work and dedication that we have so much information about Jacob & Susannah and their descendants. It is because of JoAnne that we can stay connected as Mauk cousins.

THANK YOU! (Donald Sigwalt, Alexander line)

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
