I've always been interested in researching my family tree. My grandmother, Nellie Riggans-Wolford, 
got me started. I collected whatever information I could from her before she passed away. It wasn't 
until I got my first computer that I was able to really start researching. I've been doing research 
off and on for over 20 years now. I've branched my research in a lot of directions, I guess mostly 
because I'm curious. lol I think that also helps to find information on the direct ancestors, since 
all our lives are intertwined. I have a couple of "brick walls" that I have been trying to figure 
out for years. The main one is Who is my great-grandfather Stewart Riggans father? I have a lot of 
conflicting information on his father. His mother, Eliza Jane Marshall-Riggans, I found in several 
places but never found a marriage for her and any Riggans. I'll try and add notes on what I have on 
each person that you can read and maybe you can help me figure it out. Enjoy the site. I think it's
