About The Collings Family of East Anglia & The Jensen family of America
This site is dedicated to the memory of Alan Guy Collings 1914-1989, a
wonderful father and great human being. 'sui generis'! The Collings family of East Anglia has its roots in Norfolk as proven to date,
but today the family spans the world. ' hic et nunc '!
The Collings of East Anglia through DNA turn out to be Vikings on a Saxon shore. We have now joined hands across the ocean with the family of Jensen, roots in Norway
and Denmark.
                                      WELCOME

The Vikings are back ! |* PLEASE NOTE HOWEVER THAT THE MAIN FEMALE LINE OF THIS TREE ARE ANCIENT BRITONS -
OR CELTS - DNA 'TARA' *NO PART OF THIS SITE MAY BE USED FOR PROFIT OR GAIN OF ANY KIND NOR MAY

                            Your tombstone stands among the rest;
                            neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
                            on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I’d exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
                            entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
                            one hundred years ago
spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
                            I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
                            and come to visit you.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
