About Crawford Packer Puffer Ball
This family history has been a labor of love for more than 20 years. Special thanks to my Aunt Jean
(Packer) Pierce who got me started and gave me a lot of help. Also a special thanks to Beulah
(Puffer) Kresge (1885-1976), my Great Aunt. After Beulah’s spouse died in 1933 when she only 48,
Beulah started working on her genealogy and did so for more than 30 years. I discovered 8 boxes of
her work in a Detroit Public Library. Beulah’s brother, Harry Puffer, left many written documents
about growing up on the Puffer Farm and other events in his life. On my father’s side of my family,
his mother, Lucy (Ball) Crawford left a lot of family pictures. Finally, my living relatives on both
sides of my family have also been very helpful in supplying information, pictures and stories about
our ancestors and relatives. Despite being careful, I’m certain there are errors in my genealogy and
I welcome corrections. My genealogy program, Reunion, will not export my sources for the narrative.
Just let me know and I’ll get it to you. If you have additional information, pictures or stories,
just click the comments button above. I hope you enjoy exploring our Crawford, Packer, Puffer, Ball
family history! — David Crawford

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
