I was born Margaret Caddy in Watford Hertfordshire England, spending my childhood there until my family moved to Tadworth Surrey near Epsom racecourse in 1958.
I have fond memories of my family especially my Great Aunts and Uncles, remembering many visits and listening to their many family stories. I believe this is what started my interest in Family history leading to researching Our Family Tree.
In 1963 I married Roger Wyborn and we moved to Sturry a small village in Kent near Canterbury, we were very happy there but at that time Roger's wsges were country rates much lower than London rates. We applied to emigrate to Australia, sold our house and furniture then left England in November 1967 with two small children to fly to Australia.
We settled in the State of Victoria, after 2 years we purchased a block of land an land and built a house in the town of Scoresby. Many happy years were spent at Scoresby, raising our family before we retired to the Mornington Peninsula.
'Our Ancestors' were born in England, Wales or Ireland, tracing them has at times been a challenge, but listening to my Ancestors stories has helped considerably. I do wish I had started my research while still living in England, where there is far more access to records.
I have met up with several members of the Jaggard family who emigrated to Australia in 1920's, we had many visits to Charles brother of Edgar Jaggard my Grandfather, collecting more family stories
i have been unable to find any records of my Fathers time in the orphanage in Watford & Barnet England. I know the information I have is accurate but no official records
Working on my family tree has been a very interesting journey with a few suprisesas well. I would recommend joining a Genealogy group which I have found supportive, also the Internet sites have been a great assett, not all information is proven it is copied, I have found advice from other researchers to be the most accurate
Our Tree now includes information from censuses, wills probates, and Birth/Marriage/Death certificates and I believe the information in the 'Wyborn Caddy Family Tree' to be correct and I welcome any queries or new information.
