About Our branches of our Forrest /VandenBos families
The earliest we can find in our Forrest line is Edwin Henry Forrest, born abt 1815 in Maryland, I am working on a hypothesis that his parents may have been Henry Forrest and Ann Love, Henry was born in Maryland , later that part became Washington D.C. 1820 census shows Henry living there with children that would be around our Edwin's age group. No solid proof to back this up YET! Most of his Forrest's descendents currently live in Louisiana, with a few in Michigan and Alabama.
My White side is a complete mystery , grandfather was born in Pennsylvania, but nothing is known about him. Update, I know now my White side a little better, my Grandfather Charles Clifton White was the son of Frank White and Sarah Eicholz. Frank was born in NY but lived in Pa. They also had 2 daughters Dorothy b. 1911 and Georgia b. 1906 . Frank may have had a brother Charles who was married to Gwendowlyn she was born in Wales.
Any connection to this line of Whites or Eicholz please contact me!!
Nothing is known on my grandmother Alice Veronica Bennington except she was born in New Jersey , was placed in orphanage , or home for crippled children run by nuns after contracting polio as a toddler. Update.
Parents of Alice are Raymond Bennington and Maryann Alice Blake b 1885 NJ she was the daughter of Albert Blake b.1861 in England came to the U.S. in 1879 he was married to Mary Margarette (Unknown)
Any information on any of these families would be appreciated
Thanks
