Hello family! My name is Denise (Harden) Jarrett.  I have been recording our family history since 1988. It began with keeping a record of my father's discoveries as he searched for his father's relatives (Harden/Hunter). His father passed away when he was a young boy. Later, I began documenting what I knew of my mother's side of the family (Winston/Butler). After I joined the Jarrett family in 1991, I began recording the information shared during family dinners, visits and such for the Jarrett and Reese families.

So this tree includes the ancestors, cousins and extended family members of the Harden/Hunter, Butler/Winston, Jarrett/McDonald, and Reese/Reese lines.

Collecting the rich heritage of our roots and the branches that have grown over the years has become a full-time endeavor and passion. I want to preserve the history of our families and make the information available for future generations. My greatest desire is to connect and honor our ancestors so that no one is forgotten.

If you are a member of these families, you can add to our story or share an anecdote and help make our family's story come alive and more personal. I can also use more pictures. It is amazing how often there is a close resemblance for relatives separated by generations. I welcome any additional information or stories, to share with future generations to understand where they come from and who they come from.
