Welcome to our Duncan, Gibbs, Tarlton and Followell Family Tree.  We named it this way because those names are the four main family lines that most of us are connected too.  

I have been working on our family lines for over 30 years since Grandma Carrie Duncan and Aunt Evadine Duncan gave me a hand written sheet of paper with a few names on it. Up until that time no one had done much on family research.  So the quest began.

I began this adventure using Family Tree Maker and then Ancestry when the two merged. Up til then I was keeping file folders full of paper copies from books, email from prospective family connections and eventually the internet.  The biggest drawback I found was the inability to share my research easily with other members. So I started our family page on Facebook.  One of our new family members found us on there and introduced me to TribalPages.  I find this the forum at the moment to share the information I have been gathering for years. 

This sight is just beginning to expand as I add more data and pictures from my files and as I get more comfortable with it, I will be inviting more of our family members to help out.   Enjoy as it grows.

The purpose of this page is to look at and share pictures, the family trees and history of our Duncan, Gibbs, Tarlton and Followell families, as well as any and all other connecting family groups.
