This is a database available for people to check out my family tree as researched by me (and many others). This database is FAR from complete, and I have a task list with 316 lines to research (It keeps getting longer the more I add to the database!). A comprehensive family tree would encompass over 100 billion Homo sapiens spanning roughly ten thousand generations of anatomically modern humans. This is impossible (perhaps pending the complete sequencing of everyone's DNA, especially mitochondrial and Y-chromosomal), so I fear I will always have more to reasearch and contribute. I never expected to add so many people to the database.

NOTE THESE ERRORS:
The program I used allowed me to write "Deceased" for someone whom I knew was dead (or born at least 100 years prior to the present date). This converted to December when I uploaded the file onto this website; so, if it says someone "died on Dec.", that means that they are deceased.
Also, there are a lot of other little quirks that
were not transferred properly to this website, such as obscure dates, nicknames, titles, etc.
And if you find someone who happens to be born before their parents, it's probably because this website can't handle anything before the year 1 CE correctly. I personally think we should switch to the Holocene Calendar which counts everything from 10,000 BCE so we don't have to keep switching from positive to negative dates every time we get past the arbitrarily chosen date of when a semi-mythological person probably wasn't even close to being born.

E-mail me (see above link) with questions, comments, concerns, corrections.

RECENT UPDATES:
August 2011: This will probably be my last najor update for a while, as I will be adding a full- time college schedule to my full-time work schedule. If only someone would pay me to do this research... This update adds 2,087 individuals, many of whom are more descendants of William "the Conqueror" Norman (King William I of England), including lots of kings and other nobility. There is a lot of President Barack Hussein Obama II's ancestors with whom I am related. There are a lot of lines of ancestry for other genealogists I've met through Facebook who claim descent from Carolus Carolingian (Charlemagne). And there is a large amount of information for the Zetek/Zettek family tree.
May 2011: 1,391 new people, most of whom are famous descendants (and their lineages) of William "the Conqueror" Norman (King William I of England), such as some American actors and singers, some American politicians, and many of the crowned heads of Europe. Also some information about some of Charlemagne's possible (but probably fabricated) ancestors going back to Troy and other ancient, pseudo-mythological Greek people. Also, 6 further generations of Schiffers to the 1600s. Also some of the British ancestors of Uilliam "the Lion" mac Eanric Dunkeld (King William I of Scots), my children's ancestor through their mom. Also several generations of descendants of some Danish and Swedish kings (such as Sveinn Ástríðarson Ulfsson or King Sweyn II of Denmark) from whom I am also descended. Again, more updates to more closely-related people. I also have a 36th-great-grandfather named Gandálf Álfgeirsson, King of Vingulmörk. For years I have wanted to have a son and name him Gandalf.
March 2011: 1,963 new individuals - More of the Thott/Tott family mentioned below, more of the Anglo-Norman nobility mentioned below, a lot of research done by my kids' maternal great- grandmother regarding her side of their family from Michigan over the past few hundred years, tracing parts of that side to Scotland and the Netherlands, and also a list (mostly without dates yet) of my royal ancestors (mostly the hundreds of royal ancestors of Cecilie Knudsdatter, also including the obviously fictional and mythological ancestors like Zeus and Uranus). Also several updates to more current, closely-related people.
February 2011: 1,496 new individuals - several hundred related to the Thott/Tott noble family of Denmark and Sweden, most of the rest having to do with my children's mother's English and Norman ancestors.
November 2010: 867 new individuals, almost entirely having to do with my wife's meieval English ancestors and their relatives, especially those ancestral to Richard Hoghton (see below)and his wife, Catherine Gerard.
September 2010: About 1,200 new individuals, about half of them scattered all around the database, the other half having to do with my wife Allison's ancestors - especially those related to Sir Richard Hoghton, 1st Baronet de Hoghton, her 11th great grandfather (twice). April 2010: About 450 new individuals, mostly within (or married into) the Danish noble families of Lange and Munk, who are my ancestors through my dad's dad's mom's folks. March 2010: Some corrections to the Konopski/Schiffer family.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
