The one thing that amazes me about the human race, is how we are all somehow connected. In 2007, I decided to start a life-long, and forever ongoing, project to trace, and connect, the Herero tribe by writing a family tree. Initially, I named the site “The Katuuo Family Tree”, and as I went on, I realized that this tree was going to be way beyond just the “Katuuo’s”. Because the site must have a name, I decided to go with “Riko’s Family Tree”. My aim is to connect as many Otjiherero, and others as well, speaking people via this tree. I want to gather and connect as many last names (surnames) through this site.
Please note that I am not a historian, but rather a collector of information from traditional historians. Also note, that some of these traditional historians might also be wrong or mistaken with their information.
