About McCallum - Donnelly & Relations
My Great Grandfather, James McCallum and his wife, Claire Dauphin, along with 4 children moved from the Huntingdon area of Quebec to Portage Du Fort, Quebec around 1863-1864. Once here they had three more children for a total of 7, who married into McGale, Delorme, Sabourin, Bentley and Madore families.

On the other hand my great grand parents, John Ross and Nancy Driscoll came to Portage from Ireland and married into the McDonald, Tremblay, Cameron, Bousquet and Campbell families.
These then are some of their descendants who continued to prosper and while many spread out over the years, many still reside in the Ottawa Valley.

Michael's Family, the Donnellys settled in Burgess Township, Lanark County, Ontario and spread out from there. They are all here, as far as I have found them. The Donnellys married into the Kellys, Grants, Foleys, Quinns and the Shorkey Family from Ottawa and the beat goes on.

After that pretty well all families that passed through Portage Du Fort,Quebec as well as their relatives are listed here. Just type in a last name, scroll down to first name and check it out. If you would like to help please email me with any data you may have on these families or you can change it yourself as long as you know the information is correct. Each member can change his/her own information.

And FOR GOD'S SAKE, don't be afraid to use the guest book.

Anyone wanting a invitation to this website should note that I can accept anyone as a GUEST but if I can connect you directly to any family here, I can invite you as FULL MEMBER and you can access your family information.

I know that there are many of your children who are not on this site simply because NO ONE informed me of their births etc. And remember on my site ALL WOMEN keep maiden name.

So PLEASE UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION that's the whole point of this website, to help fill in the gaps, BUT make sure what you put in is NOT already there and PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT MAKE CHANGES UNLESS YOU ARE SURE OF THEM and PLEASE, DO NOT DELETE A MARRIAGE BECAUSE THE COUPLE HAVE SINCE DIVORCED, THE MARRIAGE STILL TOOK PLACE. Just go to the Tree View of your family, if you see a + sign, click on it to edit.

AND a big THANK YOU to Ken Desjardins whose books on a few of our local churches were a great help and also to Todd Manary for many, many of the recent additions and corrections. And I would also like to remember the earlier help of Elsie Sparrow for sometimes pointing me in right direction.

PLEASE NOTE. If you would like more info such as sources not given, email me. ALSO we DO NOT post photos of people who are NOT on this site.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.

Well, I created this site over 18 years ago to get help fill in gaps in my datafiles of family trees. Sad to say it has helped very little. People take but do not give. So as my subscription ends next year I WILL NOT BE RENEWING IT .
