This site is dedicated to recording the genealogy of the 8
great-grandparent lines of my daughters Maria and Elissa.
Site has been online since January 1, 2006 and is a work in progress.

Kingzett
The Kingzett line is by far the most documented. This is due in part
to the fact that the Cleveland Kingzetts emigrated from England. England takes
its genealogy seriously and (unlike the German and Polish lines) there is no
language barrier. I was also able to significantly benefit from the tremendous
Kingzett research previously conducted by Peter King of Scotland, a
great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Richard and Mary Kingzett. Collateral
lines (i.e. not directly related) go back as far as the 1500s.
Richard Kingzett (1750-1809) Family View Descendant Chart and
Mary Beesley (?-1812) are the earliest Kingzett direct-line ancestors
here. They lived in the small town of Chipping Campden, England, located
near Stratford-On-Avon of Shakespeare fame. Many generations of their
descendants remained in Chipping Campden - there is in fact a
Kingzett Cottage rental for tourists to Chipping Campden.
All Kingzetts in this site are direct descendants of Richard and Mary.
Succeeding generations of their descendants have spread throughout England,
the United States, Canada, Scotland, Australia, and even Madagascar. See
below overview of how the branches of Richard and Mary's family tree spread.

Kingzett Migration Trees starting with Chipping Campden
The Kingzett migrations entries consist of branches rather than
individuals but can be navigated and viewed the same as an individual entry.
Where the Kingzett name is carried on (male branch), the format is
"Kingzett tree" followed by the location. Those branches where a female
Kingzett married, the format is "Kingzett>married name" (i.e.
Kingzett>Coldicott). Eventually I plan to include a short history of each
branch in the Notes section of the entry.

Royalton Kingzetts
John Kingzett (1829-1901), Family View Descendant Chart
a grandson of Richard, was the earliest Kingzett to emigrate to America that I
am aware of. About 1850, John and his wife Sarah Ingham (1829-1904)
settled in Royalton, Ohio (now North Royalton).
Their daughter, Hannah Jane "Jennie" Kingzett has the distinction of
being the first Kingzett born in the United States. She married Elam Bennett,
while another child married an Edgerton girl. (Bennett and Edgerton are now
streetnames that should be familiar to today's North Royalton residents.) The
descendants of John and Sarah have spread throughout the United States with
larger clusters of Kingzetts in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Oregon.

Cleveland Kingzetts
John Herbert Kingzett (1854-1925), Family View Descendant Chart
a great-grandson of Richard and nephew of John, was the first of my children's
Kingzett ancestors to come to America. Perhaps lured from England by tales
from uncle John, John Herbert and wife Sarah Kate Sale (1852-1931)
settled in Cleveland, Ohio. John Herbert and Sarah's descendants
have generally remained in northern Ohio.

Sirl
Joseph Sirl (1848-1907) Family View Descendant Chart
who emigrated from Germany to Cleveland in the mid-1800s begins the Sirl
line. Joseph had ten children with his 2 (or is it 3?) wives. My children are
descendants of Joseph and his last wife, Gertrude Weber (1868-1907).
Many thanks to one of Joseph Sirl's great-great-granddaughters, Kelly Moran, for her
research.
In 1990, Joseph Sirl's youngest child Gertrude Malone (nee Sirl)
wrote a letter recalling her parents and siblings. For a transcription,

The Polish Branches (Barbarowa)
My children's other six great-grandparents emigrated from Poland to
Cleveland in the late 19th and early 20th century. The earliest direct-line
ancestors are below - all born in Poland in the mid 19th century. They or some
of their descendants settled in the vicinity of St. Barbara's Catholic Church
on Cleveland's near west-side. For an excellent site devoted to the genealogy
and history of that Polish neighborhood, see the Barbarowa link below.
One of this Stanley Dubiel's sons (another Stanley Dubiel) emigrated to New
Hampshire. While there, he met and married Apolonia Giera. They moved to
Cleveland, Ohio circa 1916.
His daughter Apolonia Giera married Stanley Dubiel.
Most (all?) of Joseph's children emigrated to Cleveland, including my
grandfather Albert Jacob Ras (Rush).
Thomas' son Jacob Cielec immigrated to Cleveland where his surname was
eventually changed to the phonetical pronunciation Chiletz.
Franc's son (my gradnfather John Peter Kmiecik) emigrated to Cleveland.
Many of the Wodzinski children, including my grandmother Alexandra Bertha
Wodzinski, emigrated to Cleveland.
