This West family is typical of many families living in the United States of  America. Frederick Jonathon and Cora Hannah (Beals) West were my grandparents  and I'm in the photo. Only in the last few years have I become aware that my  ancestors began arriving in the early 1600's. They arrived in Massachusetts, New  Jersey, etc., and 200 years later, their descendants were spread across the  country and some were on the coast of California. Two of the most prolific  lines are the Beals and Stout families. Each of those has thousands of living  descendants, not only in the U. S., but in many other countries.
