WILLIAM DANIEL "BILL" GAAL, the youngest son of Charles Karl and Anna Knesz, immigrants from  Vas, Hungary, was born February 26, 1923 in New York, NY. He had one brother, Charles Karl Jr.  As a young man, Bill had formal training in playing the violin, which he became quite talented.  He enlisted in the U. S. Coast Guard on August 6, 1942 in Queens, NY., served for three years,  and was released from duty on October 26, 1945.  William Daniel was married to ELEANOR MARIE  WUNNER, daughter of Henry Wunner and Lottie Jabobs, in Queens, New York City, NY, on September  18, 1943 at St. Kevin’s Roman Catholic Church.  He began a career as an Air Traffic Controller  with the FAA, which took him to various locations in the United States; New York, Colorado,  Florida, Wake Island and Hawaii. William and Eleanor had two sons.  After divorcing in 1952, Eleanor was married to William Jack Ranallo in 1959 in NY.  Bill Gaal was married two more times, and from the last marriage there were two children, a  daughter and a son.
 William Daniel passed away in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii on September 8, 1988 at age 65, after a  lengthy illness. Memorialization was by cremation at his request, and his ashes cast over the  crystal blue waters surrounding the island of Kauai.
 Eleanor passed away on November 24, 2009 in Clearwater, Pinellas FL. and was laid to rest  beside her husband, Bill Ranallo in Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, Suffolk, NY.



RANDLE ALONZO HUDSON was born November 15, 1921 in Covington County, Alabama, the fourth  child of Hillory “Hill” Hudson and Alma Rebecca Lawson. He was named in honor of his  grandfathers, George Randol Hudson and Alonzo Thomas Lawson. He had three sisters, Mattie Lou,  Bessie and Helen Marie.  His brothers were Charlie B. and Leamon all born in Covington County.  Randle grew up in rural Covington County, in the town of Sanford and when old enough he helped  his dad on an eighty acre farm raising corn, cotton, hay and truck crops.   He enlisted in the US Army on 11 Dec 1942, Co B 784th Military Police Battalion at Fort  McClellan, Alabama. After about eighteen months, he was assigned to the Panama Canal Dept. and  served in New Guinea and Luzon during the Philippines Campaign during World War II. His duties  included enforcing military rules and regulations on camps, ports and local cities. He  patrolled areas around prison stockades and directed camp activities and security. He was  discharged on 20 Jan 1946 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. He re-enlisted for service on 1 Feb 1946  and served his last Army hitch in the US at Fort Riley, Kansas. His work consisted of enforcing  Army rules and regulations in patrol and station duty and displaying the proper use of small  arms weapons to enforce customs. He was discharged on 8 Nov 1946 at Fort Riley, Kansas.  On April 12, 1947 in Andalusia, Covington, Alabama, Randle married MAXINE LAWSON, daughter of  Van Buren Lawson and Ada Lee Henley. 
 Their courtship began before his second enlistment in the military. Maxine would often speak  about her excitement in receiving and sending letters to Randle while he was away in the Army.  When Randle returned home from his military service, he began working with Acme Electric  Company in Andalusia, Alabama. Two children were born to Randle and Maxine Hudson.   Randle passed away resulting from an automobile accident at the young age of 35, on March 25,  1956.  He was buried in Five Runs Cemetery in Covington County, Alabama.  After Randle's passing, Maxine was married and had two more children. Maxine passed away after  a short illness, in Panama City, Bay, Florida on June 24, 2015 at the age of 86.  She was laid  to rest in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
