About JONESPRIDHAMKERMONDE FAMILY TREE
Please sign in to see more.
Hello there. My name is Gay Jones(nee Kermonde) and I am the great, great, great grand-daughter of Matilda (nee Rock) and Robert Curtis. I started my search in approximately 1997 as I was searching for my maternal grandfather. I never found him. But once the search started I was hooked. I'm not at all a genealogy expert and in fact I'm just in the process of moving my Family Tree from an Excel spreadsheet to Tribal Pages. That's how basic my knowledge is. I do this work in fits and starts. I get VERY enthusiastic and then my life takes over. I LOVE DOING IT!!! When I find a new piece of information I get so elated.

I went back to Robert & Mary (nee Whitley)Rock in Ireland only with a lot of help from many people. My thanks to all who freely give their information. I've found some fantastic history along the way - convicts, gold miners, saddlers, death, tragedy, so many skeletons in cupboards (the spice of life), illnesses & talents. Dear Matilda Rock - 4 or 5 (maybe more)marriages with many children - how patient were our forebears that they didn't kill their own children! Small towns like Euroa, Taggerty, Yarck,Alexandra - Charles Shaw (Miner)probably went there in search of gold (it didn’t last long),got TB and died in Alexandra. Charles Shaw & MaryAnn Shaw nee Curtis had their children there, Matilda Curtis and her husband Joseph Hubbard (curator of Alexandra cemetery) certainly lived there and their children were born there, Matilda Rock and her 2nd husband Henry Batt were there and their children & grandchildren were there as was Matilda Rock and her 4th husband Isaac Helme (blacksmith) were there as well.

I hope you find this Family Tree helpful and interesting. If you want to discuss ANY of it with me I would be thrilled. Gay March 2012

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
