About Gradney &Gradnigo Family
Please sign in to see more.
I am Juanita, the daughter of John Gradney and Cora Papion. After returning home to
Mamou. I find myself running into a relative or some one who knows a Gradney or a
Papion. I keep asking the older siblings and the few Aunts and Uncles how we are
related. Dreading " Old Timers" I decided to try and capture that on paper so, when I
reach the top of the relative chain I will have documented prove, for the young ones
to see, they never believe anything we old people say anyway.

Proving that it can be done children of slave's who couldn't read or write has come
this far. Our ancestors believed in and PRAYED daily that with hard work and
education their children would make a better life for their children and their
children's children etc.

Don't just look at me climb up and down my family tree, climb on up add a branch or
two for yourself ask an old Aunt/Uncle to add a little bit, see what links us. Grab
a cousin or two start a tree of your own, its contagious. After all, all "Great
Forest" started with just one small tree.

My email address is gradney01@bellsouth.net, drop me a line add to my tree, or let's
just talk about my tree I will be happy to hear from you.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
