About  Familie Gummels (Suriname)
Heinrich Remmers Gummels, geboren 30/1/1811 te Jever bij Oldenburg (Duitsland) emigreerde naar  Suriname als koopman. In 1845 was hij administrateur van plantage Osembo aan de Para kreek. In 1850 erfde hij de plantage Peu en Contant van zijn overgrootmoeder Fietje Louise Nepveu.De  plantage was 1528 hectare groot, waarvan 13,5 hectare in cultuur gebracht. De produktie in 1894  voor export was 2289 kilo Cacao en 700 liter lemmetjessap.
  
 Heinrich Remmers Gummels had een zoon: Gerhard Heinrich Gummels, geboren 21/3/1848. Deze vertrok  in 1858 naar Duitsland voor zijn verdere schoolopleiding in Oldenburg. In 1896 keerde hij naar  Suriname terug.

Gerhard Heinrich Gummels werd boekhouder op Albina (Eigenaar was Kappel), bij Import/Export mij  Roelfs en later bij Drukkerij P.A. Maij. Hij was kapitein bij de gewapende Burgerwacht in  Suriname.

Van Heinrich Remmers Gummels zijn in deze stamboom 7 generaties ingevoerd, waarvan de eerste vijf  generaties redelijk compleet.  
 Generation 2 - 1848  -  1 Child
 Generation 3 - 1875  -  6 Grandchildren
 Generation 4 - 1898  -  29 Great grandchildren
 Generation 5 - 1924  -  105 Descendants

Generation 6 - 1956  -  140 Descendants (not complete)
 Generation 7 – 1981  -  109 Descendants (not complete)

The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list.
