About Rasnick/ McCoy
Information has been collected from Ancestry.com, Rootsweb, Jacob Rasnick Family project and

Tribal pages on the internet. Information has been passed down by word of mouth or written

information from family members. If any one finds mistakes, please let me know as with so many

names things can be mixed up.This is information that I hope will be useful to other members seeking to find information about families.

This site also covered my husbands ancestry:

I have learned that my husband and I share distant relatives. John Counts 1706-1777 who

married Anna Elizabeth Stoever 1708-? had a son named George Counts who married Salome, last name

unknown. They had a daughter named Barbara Counts 1760-1830. She married Johannes Kirshof (Cairco).

They had a daughter Susannah 1804-1879 who married Jacob Huffer 1789-1879. Jacob was the son of

Jacob Huffer 1755-1848 and Anna Shoenauer 1760-1841, relatives of my husband William John

Alexander. His mother was Edith Marie Huffer. WHAT A FIND!

He is a distant cousin of Barack Obama Jr. The family never responded to our messages.

I have also discovered that I am related to Benjamin Franklin.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
