About HARROD & HAYES FAMILIES
Please sign in to see more.
This is the first page for names in the database and has only a few of the multitude of names. Much of the material in here is the result of research done by many other contributors for whose input I will be forever grateful. Please be aware that I have still to confirm a substantial amount of the material in here and a considerable amount of it is without supporting documentation and is still very much in the exploratory stages. Some connections have been made by a leap of faith and it is advisable to check from time to time to see if I have made alterations. If you should find items which seem to be, or you know to be incorrect (or have doubts about) please contact me as I will be only too pleased to make further investigations. If you have material to add to this, I would be most grateful to receive your input. Where there is an "e" shown under a person's name with an address, I usually have the full collection of data on the census information. Most of this does not show in the attached notes, but if you are interested in the census details for a particular family please contact me and I can send these to you. Where this information does appear in the notes, I have maintained the original spelling from the index in the site from which the information was obtained so that other researchers will not have the same difficulty locating it that I have had. Obituaries have a wealth of information and are often the source of confirmation of a connection so I would recommend reading those of the persons connected to YOUR people of interest. The site is in its infancy, all donations of information gratefully received - just send me a message and I will add everything that I can. Photos are particularly welcome. I hope there is something to crash through your brick walls. Enjoy.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
