****HERRON FAMILY 2011 TO 1066 A.D.****
The present day American HERRON FAMILY research traces the family backward from America to England to Normandy in 1066 A.D.; there were numerous name variations because very few persons, including will administrators, register of deeds, ministers, judges, and regular individuals, acquired a genuine formal education; so, spelling of the name was by phonetics or sound. The name transformed Hairun, Heron, Hern, and HEARNE to HERRON or Hearne-Herron. The outstanding most salient single piece of prima fascia evidence in genealogically tracking this family was its COAT OF ARMS; also, folklore stories passed down from generation to generation concerning the Hearne or Herron Family; they in-fact were one and the same.
Dr. Morris A. Herron, this researcher, distinctly remembers his parents, grandparents, uncles, great uncles, and cousins discussing on numerous occasions the evolvement of the Hearne or Herron Family; his beloved paternal grandfather, General Lee Herron, and grandmother, Eliza Delilah Pilkington, kept four major pictures/paintings displayed on their living room wall in descending order: JESUS, General George Washington, HEARNE-HERRON COAT OF ARMS, and their 1901 Wedding Photograph. These name developments had been verified by and attested to by many older relatives. The common thread running through and tying together this family history was its prized COAT OF ARMS.
Another major branch of this family, the Pilkingtons, also, had a distinct name variation in basically the 1940s. Some Pilkingtons began using a short version of its historical family lineage name, Pilkey. The primary reasons for this deviation were the same as the Hearne to Herron lineage name transformation. All four family names are utilized today in 2011; these "four families" are actually two families: Hearne-Herron and Pilkington-Pilkey or HERRON AND PILKINGTON. Both names are correct for each family in general terms; the Pilkey Family derived from the Pilkington Family and the Hearne Family produced the HERRON FAMILY.
This HERRON FAMILY STUDY connects and partially includes several other families, i.e., Hairun, Hearne, Pilkington, Pilkey, Brendle, Cable, Calhoun, Crisp, Miller, Rathbone, Lane, Lopez, and Robinson. These are all connecting and/or parallel family branches.
