About The Holdiches
This site is maintained by the Holdich Family History Society. As well as members in the UK we also have family members in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, Norway and the USA. We hope this site will help family members around the world to keep in touch and will encourage new members to contact us.
The Society was formed in 1989 and members have met at Family Days once a year ever since. Family Days are usually held in the village hall in Wadenhoe, Northhamptonshire. This was the home, in the 16th century, of the earliest Holdiches we have so far been able to locate. As well as annual meetings we also produce two journals a year which focus on the history of the family, current research by members and also family news.
We are really keen to expand the information we have about our family and to support others in their research. If you have any information which you would like to contribute or corrections you think we should make to our records as well as suggestions for improving the site, please contact Tony Holdich at holdiches@gmail.com
If you would like to become a member of the Holdich Family History Society to receive our bi- annual journals, attend family days and access the full range of information on this web site please contact Gay Holdich at holdiches@gmail.com
Welcome to our family tree site we hope you will find it interesting and useful.

Getting Around There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool. |
