Hi and welcome to my website.
I hope you'll enjoy looking for family members and discovering people you never knew about but are related in some way to. If you can add any info please email me, new info is always most welcome.
I don't make any claims as to the accuracy of the information on this website, so dates should be used only as guidelines, if you think anything is clearly wrong with my info then please email me to put it right.
There are several different lines in the tree. The Hurleys themselves are problematic due to Irish ancestry. However there is plenty on the Stevens, Hosking, Hurrell, Lennox and Newsom families. Areas covered include Plymouth/Devonport/Stonehouse, Cornwall, Northwest Kent and Yorkshire.
All of you are welcome to use any of this information. All I would ask is that you don't put the personal details of living people on the Internet, unless your site is password-protected like this one and that, if re-publishing information that you include some form of source accreditation (mainly so that when I find it I dont waste time thinking its new information).
If anybody has old photos that I could add, that would be great, it's always nice to put a face to a name.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool. |
