About Hyde Family in New Zealand
The information collected here has come from many years of research, mainly by my mother, Lil Hyde. I have carried on with discovering some more links. There are a few links that are still to be confirmed, but there is more than likely a family connection somewhere. I have found a few links through names on trees that appear here on Tribalpages and I am grateful to the hard work the researchers of these trees have done. I have added the information to my own work, only to enlarge the knowledge we have of our own family; I would hope that they would do the same when coming across useful links back to my research. There has been other information gathered from various internet sources. I have attempted to acknowledge these where possible. Rosemary Probert's scrapbook and Marcel Safier's research has been especially useful. As an aside I wish to pay tribute and remember those members of the Safier family who lost their lives in Treblinka, Aushwitz and the Polish ghetos of the 1940's. The work of Olivia Harris and Mark Fretwell on the Flintoff family must be acknowledged as something special. I must also thank Peter Hyde from Tawa New Zealand who has a wealth of family knowledge.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
