About Inness & Mattinson Families
Please sign in to see more.
For some of the amassed information on the Inness family ackowledgement is necessary to Dr Nigel Clayton who researched much of the 18th century data during his many trips to Belford, Chatton & family members in Northumberland; also to Sandy Carter-Duff for providing the key to the Inness Family in the United States of America

The Mattinson line has been easier to research as for some years RW(Bob) Mattinson was digging away and he it was who encouraged me to continue his work & now together with his son, my cousin Nigel Mattinson, the work continues.

I am indebted too to Dr Tom Park of York whose valuable contribution to the Park database has enabled me to fill in many of the missing pieces in the Park jigsaw.

Graham Hoult, a Kiwi cousin, traced me through some old diaries of a visit to the UK from New Zealand by his Grandparents. Through these diaries Graham has enabled a whole line of research to be opened on the Payter and Virgo families.

The Brewis Stebbings line researches have been helped with input from Dorothy Harris, Lesley Monteiro, Ade Critten, Brian Aggio, and countless others at Genes Re-united without whose co-operation I would be struggling.

Do please leave a note of your visit with any corrections, criticism or comments as accuracy is paramount. If you register in who or in which line you are researching I will endeavour to update you with any relevant new findings. A record of your visit to the site will be welcome anyway so dont forget to record it in the Guestbook.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
