About The Webs We Weave
Please sign in to see more. "The Webs We Weave" is the ongoing documentation of my family, both past and present. It is the product of what started out as a hobby, but has proven to be much more than that. It goes far beyond just documenting facts about my family.
It is the story of many hours of pure enjoyment, frustration, happiness, laughter, sorrow, and tears, that I have spent while researching my family and its many sides. Like a web it spreads in many directions. It has been wonderful and rewarding to meet new family members and friends, to locate family members that were missing but never forgotten, and to find family members that we did not know existed. As I said, it will be ongoing, I have added some photos, and will continue to add more as I get them.
I want to express my sincere appreciation to the many people who have helped me in my quest. It would be impossible for me to name each of you, but each of you know who you are. Thank you Very Much.
A Special Thanks goes to my sister, Alice Louise (Nash) Demos, who helped me to get started in Genealogy, and who suggested the name for Our Family Tree. Like a Big Spider Web, this Family Tree just keeps growing and growing, hence: "The Webs We Weave". And to my brother, Larry Dean Nash, for doing the DNA Testing for the NASH Family Project, at Family Tree DNA, which helped to trace our NASH Family Line. We currently have five (5) families with Exact Matches on the NASH Family DNA Project. One of these being a MASH Family member, proving that our MASH and NASH Families are one and the same. Our Family surname was MASH before being changed to NASH, and this can be seen in many records, such as Census, Marriage, and Land. We are also finding many Families listed as MARSH, and do believe that the name was originally MARSH, in England, and perhaps through Census Records, the "R" was dropped and it became MASH. We are currently looking for a male Descendant of ONESIPHORUS MARSH, who will do a DNA Testing for our NASH Family Project, so that this fact may be proven as well.
I hope that each and everyone of you enjoy this site, as much as I have, in putting it all together. It is my fondest wish that this site will help others in their research of our family. The information contained in "The Webs We Weave" was obtained from Birth, Marriage and Death Records, Obituaries, Newspaper Articles, Census Records, Land and Tax Records, Living Relatives, and other Family Trees. Even though I have tried to ensure the correctness of this site, mistakes do occur. If any of you find any information that is not accurate, please let me know. Also, if any of you have information that you would like to see added to this site, please contact me at: OGrandma65@yahoo.com
Please be sure to sign my Guest Book while you are here, it will be very much appreciated.
