Hey everyone, thanks for visiting the Family Tree. Although the title of this family tree is "Jennie Laree's Family Tree" I by no means want it to be a Jennie-centric family tree. I welcome all extensions to the family tree, including indirect relations to myself. The whole purpose and goal of this family tree is to create a useful tool for everyone to use and to create a family history. I would love it if you got involved in adding information, pictures, and stories (ESPECIALLY STORIES) of the people on the tree. I hope you will use this as a reference to teach your descendants about the family and would love to see it used as message board and planning site for family activities. I am open to any ideas, additions, and changes to the family tree. Just so you know how I am approaching this family tree is for future generations (things I would want my great, great grand-kids to know).
With all that stated there are a few things I want you all to know. If you use Maiden Name information for security reasons, let me know and I will try my best to make private that information. I also want to reassure you that if information ends up on your part of the family tree that you do not wish to disclose, let me know and I will remove it immediately. Although I (or someone else) may have found that a fond memory I want you to be remember in the way you want to be remembered. That being said, if it is something of public record (example: a divorce) I will not remove it, but I can put a any note you feel is important to explain the event.
Now please browse the website and enjoy! Hint: the relationship tool under the People tab is extremely cool!

There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
