Was originally the "Dear Families of Mississippi"

Welcome to this site and take a second to sign the guest book before leaving. You can just leave your name, location, and family lines of interest if you wish. A good way to meet new cousins or find the long lost ones.

Hold on to the sites ''password'' and come back and browse when the urge hits.

This site is always 'password protected' for privacy and only open to folks seriously interested in the families within.
You may share the 'password' with others that have family in this file or others interested in finding their ancestors in the area. There are over 27,000 total people in the file. at this point.

There are hundreds of families stemming mostly from the many families in Southern Rankin and Northern Simpson Counties. With many families branching to surrounding counties and all states states coast to coast.

The general instructions for browsing the site are provided by Tribal and posted below in 'Getting Around' for the easiest and best way to navigate the site.

It would be nice if all visitors, especially kin folks and in-laws would leave their name and email address if possible but certainly not required. Just a great way to meet and swap family info with old and newly found cousins, and the likes.

While clicking and browsing around if you see anything that needs correcting, or you have additional info added or info needing deleted for your ancestor(s) please take note of and email me with edit instructions and I will take care of it asap.
Notes, interesting lore and short stories and tales, about your ancestor are welcome. Just type it all out and email that to me and I will attach it to his/her page asap.

If you use any of the info from here for your own family file and you need to edit and change it for the better please email me and let me know what edits so I can also change it here for the better.
To send email click on ''send a message'' in the ' Welcome! '' message at top of this page,, Home Page

I'll be updating this file on a regular basis, or when needed asap.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
