I STARTED TO BUILD THIS THIS TREE ABOUT 2004 AND HAVE MANAGED TO FLESH UP MANY OLD
BONES,I OWE ALOT OF THESE FINDINGS TO SO MANY KIND PEOPLE WHO CONTRIBUTED SO
MUCH.ALSO TO THE EXCELLENT GENEOLOGY SITES AVAILABLE.
I HAVE MET PEOPLE THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE MET BEFORE STARTING THE TREE, AND
EVERYONE THAT I HAVE MET HAVE ADDED THEIR OWN LITTLE BIT OF INFORMATION. I
MUST THANK THEM ALL FOR THEIR HELP AND FRIENDSHIP WHILST DOING THIS.
I BELIEVE THAT EVERY FAMILY IS A STORY IN ITSELF.IN FACT I FIRST STARTED TO THINK
ABOUT THE TALES I REMEMBER LISTENING TO WHEN I WAS GROWING UP,I LOVED RELATIVES
VISITING AND THEIR REMINISCINGS ABOUT FAMILY LONG GONE.
OVER THE YEARS THERE HAVE BEEN MANY SAD EVENTS ,NONE MORE SO THAN OUR ANCESTORS WHO
GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE WARS, I HOPE THAT I HAVE DONE THEM JUSTICE IN MY RECORDS.MY
COUSIN ROB MARCHMENT SUPPLIED ME WITH SOME MARVELLOUS RECORDINGS OF HIS UNCLE ROBERT
WHO WAS KILLED TOWARDS THE END OF WW1.
THE FAMILIES ARE DIVERSE IN EVERY WAY FROM WHERE THEY HAVE LIVED TO JOBS THEY HAVE
DONE ,EVEN TO CHANGING THE SPELLING OF A SURNAME.

NEVERTHELESS THIS IS AN ONGOING TASK THAT WILL NEVER BE FINISHED..
AFTER BROWSING THROUGH THE SITE,COULD YOU PLEASE SIGN THE GUEST BOOK SO THAT I
CAN SEE WHO HAS VISITED,AND WOULD WELCOME YOUR COMMENTS.

I HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT HAVE GIVEN ME INFORMATION AND PHOTOGRAPHS, ALSO
THEIR TIME AND PATIENCE THAT I WOULD NEED A PAGE TO LIST THEM ALL,BUT MY
THANKS AND GRATITUDE TO EVERYONE.

LAST OF ALL, COULD I PLEASE ASK EVERYBODIES FORGIVENESS THAT I MIGHT HAVE
OFFENDED BY STANDARDISING THE SPELLINGS OF FAMILY NAMES .I
FOUND SO MANY DIFFERENT VARIATIONS IN THE SPELLING OF THE MARCHMENT NAME AND
THE BAINES NAME THAT I USED THE VARIATION THAT WAS THE MOST COMMONLY USED
TODAY.
MARSHMAN,MAISHMAN AND MASHMAN WERE THE ONES USED FROM 1480'S THEN CAME THE
MARSHMENT AND MARCHMONT AND MARCHMENT.
THE BAINES FAMILY SEEM TO START WITH BAYNES FOLLOWED BY BANES AND BAINES.THE
SCOTTISH BEING BAINS.MUCH IMFORMATION ON THE RHEUBOTTOM FAMILY WAS SUPPLIED BY ANN
AND JOHN RUTTER ALSO PAT CRAWFORD.THIS NAME IS RECORDED IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT WAYS
MAINLY RHEUBOTTOM /ROWBOTTOM .I HAVE RECORDED MY INTERESTS RHEUBOTTOM ,MAINLY BECAUSE
THE ONES CLOSELY ATTACHED TO MY PARTICULAR LINE SPELT IT THIS WAY.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
