About Gohre Hagen Family Tree
This site tells the history of Friedrick Ernst Gohre and Wilhelmine Zaumsegel and their three  children Max, Johanna and Frieda. Max came to the United States in 1888 at the age of 15 from  Germany. Wilhelmine, Johanna and Freida followed in 1898 and settled in Oshkosh, Winnebago County,  Wisconsin USA. The fate of Friedrick is still under investigation

Heinrich Schmitting and his wife Sophia, their daughter Maria and son William came to the United States from Germany in 1867 and settled near Franklin, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin USA where Henry and Dorit were born. They moved near Chilton, Calumet County, Wisconsin USA in 1874, and in 1879 Margaretha was born.

Max met and married Margaretha in 1907 and had three children, Ernest, Hilda and Harold. They lived in Hilbert, Calumet County, Wisconsin USA.

Torstien Anderson Hagen came to the United States in 1899 from Voss Hordaland Norway and stayed with  his brother in law Josef and Margreta Tverberg on their farm near Leeds, Columbia County, Wisconsin USA.

Thea Lovisa Larsdatter Sætre came to the United States in 1904 from Leikanger, Sogn og Fjordane,  Norway and stayed with her cousin Thor Kvalheim and his wife Emma near DeForest, Dane County,  Wisconsin. Torstien and Thea met, got married and this is the rest of the story.

There is no peace till all the pieces are found!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list.
