This site is Dedicated to my Dad, Colin Arthur Jones, who Passed away 15th September  2009 at the age of 72

Colin Arthur Jones father is Robert Owen Jones born Sept 1897 in a small village in  Wales, Blaenau Ffestiniog, who moved to Leeds when he was 4 years old,with his parents  Robert owen Jones and Sarah Annie Elizabeth Smith, and sisters, Ada and Dora, The area  was full of Quarry men but Gt Grandfather Robert was a Bootmaker so moved to Leeds due  to more work.

Colin Arthur Jones mother is Nellie Peaker born March 1906 from a small district called  Holbeck, just on the edge of the city of Leeds, Living with her parents Lilly Morton  and James Arthur Peaker, and Siblings Minnie, Elsie, Beatrice and Charles Edwin. James  Arthur Peakers relatives were from Criggleston, and Shitlington small coal mining towns  in the Lower Agbrigg of Castleford,

My dad, Colin was a wonderful father, working all his life in transport. after doing  his national service, he went to join Leeds City Transport to drive the buses, then on  to long distance lorry driving for Lex Wilkinson, after the firm went into liquidation  he spent the rest of his working life as a Private Hire Taxi Driver, working for  various firms around Leeds.

Dad had many hobbies, one of them been member of the ROAB (Buffs) and Leeds Rifiles,  spending much of his time with this.
