About Featherston Family Forebears
This tree contains the ancestors and other relatives of the children of Roger and Jo Featherston (nee Cruickshank), as far as currently known by me, together with the partners of those relatives, past and present. Personal details of living people are not included, other than their names, for privacy reasons. If you believe that you are related to someone on this tree, please contact me and I may be able to provide additional information not included here.

I am indebted to many people for very generously sharing their family research and information with me and in many cases for also providing me with family photographs, and in particular I would like to thank Margaret Baker, Lin Battersby (deceased), Deborah Beagen, Joan Brusamarello (deceased), David Burns, Mary Elizabeth Calwell, Joan Corrie (deceased), Jean Cruickshank (deceased), Liz Cruickshank, Allan Davidson, Jane Daw, Sean Doyle, Ken Featherston, Kim Fletcher-Purdom, Robert Forrest (deceased), Nella Greaves (deceased), Leo and his late wife Mary Gouwland, June Hearne, John Howe, Jenny Marsh, Joy Menhennet, Shona Michie, Clare Miller, Kevin (deceased) and Anja Morrison, Graeme Moore, Janet Nevling,Lindsay Philp, Relda Smith, Allan Steel, Kat Hall Stubbs, Cheryl Styles, Kerry Timms and Sherwood Young. All errors are no doubt my own!

Quotes I like:

“Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands.” :Linda Hogan

and

"Genealogy is not just a pastime; it's a passion." : Mary Harrell-Sesniak

Cheers,
 Jo

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
