The Karena Family Tree has been developed in honour of Taupiri (Sophie) Te Paea Pita and Thomas
Mohi (Moses) Karena who lived and raised a large family at Omahu, Hastings during the mid
1900s. Family members are invited to register and add family members, stories and photos.
The aim of the site is to provide family members with a forum to share whakapapa information,
covering some 44 generations to Maui. It also provides a tool to keep members informed about
family living locally and internationally.
As of 24 April 2011 the two family whakapapa's ie Karena Family Tree From Omahu and Ataria Family
Tree (http://iriwhatahanita.tribalpages.com) contained 1803 names.
