About Sherpa Tribal Family Tree
The source of our Language and Culture:

Around December 1989 more than 30 years ago, my father Konchhok Chhumbi Sherpa had told me, he had given interviews to most of the foreign anthropologies who wrote books about Sherpa’s. None of the Sherpa people have noted him on this. He asked me to note down our family history during this time where I had noted few. I went back to those notes recently and was unable to figure out the relations of our Sherpa people that I had once written.

This short instance of realization and my father’s word on understanding our own history has now resonated with his stories within me. I have started to talk to various individuals both old and young with enthusiasm and interest of knowing our ancestors.

Inspiration:
I am very grateful with Pasang Gyalzen Lama who has spent so much of his time collecting family records in www.pasanggyalzen.tribalpages.com. And Ang Jangbu Thaktok, https://angjangbu.tribalpages.com/tribe I was able to gain a lot of knowledge and understand the relations of the Solu families. This has motivated me to collect family record and so I have registered recently to tribalpages to keep our ancestry records in detail here and abroad.

My belief today is what my father had visioned and told me back in 1989. It is very easy to lose our own identity in this modern and fast paced world. Language and culture always evolves around our past and if past is what we forget, we may forget the main source of our language and culture.

I, and Pasang Dawa Paldurche, (pdpaldorje@gmail.com) are currently collecting information from all sources and doing our research to connect these sources from one another to make it more accurate.
More and more people are enjoying the pleasure of tracking down their family history. The result is a record of our ancestors, and the lives they led, which our family will treasure for generations to come.
We would humbly request everyone’s help to look into this page and update if somethings have been missed as this would be very helpful to reconnect with our ancestors who we may have forgot. Please kindly help us your active participation researching by interviews with relatives and elders and correct it by filling or send us your record by E-mail for update.

The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
