WELCOME TO MY FAMILY

I have been researching my family history for a number of years starting after both my parent's passed away. My aim at first was to follow the Forrester and Dalziel sides of my father's family. There were so many questions I needed to try and find some answers to.

This research has taken me on a wonderful journey to many places around the world and to find glovers, Bailies, burgess of Perth Scotland, convicts, jewellers, silversmith's, wine shipper's wine merchant's, makers of Port Wine in Oporto, Portugal, an Irish Famine Orphan and so many who have fought in all wars and battles for their country.

I do know my Dad would turnover in his grave if he knew that I was delving into the past, but as I have come so far with my research and that I am very proud of my ancestor's. I think
if he knew of the information I have gathered I am sure he would have a twinkle in his eye.

Please check the citations at the bottom of a person's name as I have put some links to website's, especially my father's brother CHARLES HENRY FORRESTER 1918-1945 who died a prisoner of war at Sandakan, Borneo.

ALSO CHECK AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR USEFUL LINKS

A special thank you to:

If you wish to copy anything from my site, please make sure you cite the source as anyone copying might have other information helpful to me and more importantly, in cases where I have received information from people, citing the source acknowledges them and the work they have done.

PLEASE IF YOU TAKE COPIES OF ANY PHOTO'S PLEASE KEEP THEM FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE ONLY AS SOME ARE COPYRIGHT AND SOME ARE FROM OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY.

This is a work in progress as I gradually continue to research and add more names, dates and information, so be sure to call back again.

While you're here please feel free to sign the guestbook. I welcome comments, amendments, additions and input.

Regards,
 Merilyn

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
