About Crossgrill/Krausgrill Family
Please sign in to see more. The Krausgrill name originated in a small village called Nieder-Weisel in Germany. Four brothers came over to England, the first in the 1840's. The name, on my branch of the family, was changed to Crossgrill in 1916 due to anti Germanic feeling, in England, during WW1.
This saga covers four major surnames, Krausgrill (Crossgrill), O'Neill, Richardson, Welch and the lines that make up this family history. It also covers the countries of England, Germany, Australia, Canada, America and more.
Any information concerning the ancestory of this site will be warmly welcomed and where possible information shared.
“To forget one’s Ancestors is to be like a Brook without a source or a Tree without a root”.
The jigsaw is not yet complete; parhaps it never will be. The family keeps changing, as does life and the future, ad-infinitum - forever and without limit.
