Welcome! This tree is copyrighted2006.

PLEASE READ THIS- IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

If you are here then it is because I have invited you- if you have not been invited by me then please email me first to let me know who you are and how you have reached this page. I have seriously limited the viewing of this tree to very close family members only.

This website is dedicated to the many wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of being related to, with a very special dedication to my late grandmother Winifred Florence Hudd- she would love this.

It is devoted to the many, many relatives that have grown as new branches, and others that have been grafted on- some good and some bad- but they all shape our lives to one extent or another and I am going to make this site interesting and fun to browse. We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe.

Since the year I started 18 years ago I have made considerable progress with over 25 thousand names and 5 thousand photographs. I have many more photographs and certificates not yet added and I have many folders filled with relatives not yet added. It is very much a work in progress and I am constantly working on it and often new information or details come to light but don't make it to the tree immediately, so please be patient for updates.

There will most certainly be a few errors so please let me know- also if you have additions or photos that I could use I would be most happy to accept them.

I have already learnt that I don't have so much as a tree as a huge forest- filled with a variety of life- all of which contribute to a colourful looking family and I want to thank everyone who has contributed.

LEGAL NOTICES:

Whilst most of the contents of this tree is found in the public domain a lot of it isn't. As a researcher and keeper of family information I have a legal and moral duty to ensure your data is protected. So pleased be assured I will do this to the best of my ability and I only allow access to family members who I feel I can trust- if that trust is broken they will be asked to kindly take steps to remedy it. I take your privacy seriously.

Please do not take photographs and place them elsewhere- you can use them for your own private folders and trees but not to be placed on sites that have public access- remember everything is searchable. Please remember that photographs of living or dead relatives have an intellectual copyright and if someone has given me photographs to use on here they haven't necessarily given permission for those pictures to go elsewhere and strictly speaking they still own the rights to them.

Please do not use details of living relatives to add to your public trees where the information can be collated and used by unknown persons. Again I have no objection to them being used in strictly private folders and trees but it is a no no for public use. If you have a tree on ancestry or such sites please read the community rules for adding photographs, sensitive documents and birthdates etc.

Thank you for your respect and co-operation.
THEY PASSED THIS WAY
If you could see your ancestors, all standing in a row
Do you think you'd be proud of them, or don't you really know? Some strange discoveries are made in climbing family trees,
And some of them do not particularly please.
If you could see your ancestors all standing in a row
There might be some of them perhaps,
You would not care to know.
But there's another question which requires a different view. If you could meet your ancestors, would they be proud of you?

Lots of love to you all and may your lives be filled with peace and happiness

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
